Great stories--I love how you integrated video into it. I have never been there!

I’d loved to go to Snowy Owl and have tea! I’m also happy to know about the Clinton/Bailey farmer’s market. I think I need a trip there as well.

i'm glad you wrote about the market. i go every Saturday rain or shine. for the last 30 years or so. i figure if they can show up, so can i. it's sparser than it's been in the last few years but there is little local to sell right now--it will change in a couple weeks with fruit coming into season. and by the way, Becken Farms has been there for something like 85 years--Elaine took over from her grandmother. They just sold the farm this year to a young man (Will) who has worked for them in the past and whose dream it was as a child to own a farm. Will is worth a story by you. Will is an inspiration and brings hope to local farming.

Kathy, thank you for all this info! It's great you are so devoted to the market and I am honored you liked the story. I would love to talk with Will about his dream to own a farm!

mary, talk to elaine, she loves to tell stories. she will introduce you to will. his drive and the support of his family is an inspiration. he took advantage of government low-interest loans for farmers under 30--just as he hit the deadline for being under 30. i wonder if our magnificent orange turd will discontinue this program--it would be a shame. all of them absolutely know who i am--they take care of the regulars--but they may not know my last name. elaine will know kathy of kathy and jerry, and the others should remember i am an architect.

and thank you for the tea-house review. i will check it out. saturday morning chores are just that and i only lolly-gag enough to get the latest gossip from elaine (it's like going to church for me) and any other that has something to impart (they are farmers, they don't talk much)(except for rob tower of the apple-lady stand at the northernmost end, but he's mostly retired these days). the sausage house has sausage-making supplies if you like to kill things and fermenting supplies if you like to grow things. i love the place, also.

Mike, that is so nice of you! Thank you! I want to write another story when the market is really buzzing. When just finding a parking space is a quest.. Wait, I think I'm writing another lede!

I think it's wonderful how you have immersed yourself, and us, into the Buffalo scene. I need to do more in my little town.

Amy, the fun of it is, even when I'm by myself, as I usually am (and was on Saturday), I always feel that I'm with friends, because I get to write about it. I am so glad you liked the story! Thank you!
